LIZ ORTIZ YOGA
Manifesting the Real
LIZ ORTIZ, E-RYT 500
Liz Ortiz, M.A., ERYT-500, has been teaching since 1999. She has a Masters Degree in both Health Education and Stress Management. Liz was originally trained in the ISHTA lineage with Alan Finger/Yoga Zone and has over 1000 hours of training including the most recent from YogaWorks. Liz has spent her entire yoga career fine tuning her voice as a vinyasa teacher. In doing so, she refined her skills to successfully weave together breath based movement with challenging choreography and yoga philosophy. Liz has run yoga programs in New York and New Jersey and has been training yoga teachers since 2002. In 2012, Liz opened Living Yoga in Cold Spring, NY, which was named “Best Yoga Studio in the Hudson Valley” all five years it was opened, from 2013-2017. Although she is dedicated to teaching a physically challenging asana practice, Liz is most inspired by making yoga philosophy accessible to her students and using it to transform the way we live our lives. Liz was the founder and director of the Sat Shakti Teacher Training which specialized in interactive teacher coaching and helping new teachers find their authentic voice. Liz is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), has studied YIN Yoga with Josh Summers and recently completed another 200 hours of training with YogaWorks. Liz currently resides in Baltimore, MD and you can find Liz on Instagram @lizortizyoga and on YouTube as Liz Ortiz Yoga.
